Claire Henkel founded the Garden of Hope in 2014. As she described it in the original Garden of Hope website, her goal was to build "a community permaculture garden providing children and youth with a space to connect with nature, foster joy, and develop life skills." And frankly, she succeeded tremendously. Unfortunately for the Garden, Claire has decided that it's time to direct her boundless energy in a new direction. But we at Together We Can Guatemala are proud and happy to keep Claire's work alive, and continue to realize her dream.

Claire Henkel fundó el Huerto la Esperanza en 2014. Como ella lo describió en el sitio web original del Huerto la Esperanza, su meta era "construir un huerto comunitario de permacultura para proveer a la niñez y juventud un espacio para conectar con la naturaleza, fomentar la alegría y desarrollar habilidades para la vida." Y honestamente, logró crear ese espacio que ella proponía.
Por desgracia para el huerto, Claire ha decidido dirigir su energía en una nueva dirección. Pero nosotros en Together We Can Guatemala estamos orgullosos y felices de mantener vivo el trabajo que Claire empezó.
